August 1st Deadline coming fast!

We have a number of deadlines this coming Saturday, August 1st:

• Registration for all 4H and Open Class Animal Divisions close at 5PM. (Open Class exhibitors must submit an Open Class Animal Registration Form and all stall fees to the Fair Office by August 1 as well.)

• Bring your Open Class Fine Arts entrys to the Fine Arts Department from 10AM to 5PM.

• If your group or organization is planning to enter an educational booth, you must contact the Fair Office to make arrangements and register online.

Coloring Contest!

Calling all young artists! Enter our first ever coloring contest and you could win a prize!

RULES FOR THE 2009 COLORING CONTEST

1. Artist may use any medium: crayons, watercolors, markers, colored pencils, macaroni, acrylics, etc.

2. Age categories:

• up to 5 years old
• 6-8 years old
• 9-12 years old

3. All work must be done by entrant.

4. DEADLINE: Completed entries must be turned in to the Fair Office by August 8, 2009. Winners will be notified on August 10, 2009.

or bring entry to the fairgrounds, located at 819 Camano Avenue in Langley.

The following prizes will be awarded in each age category:

FIRST PLACE
One day unlimited carnival ride pass

SECOND PLACE
One season Fair pass

THIRD PLACE
Winner’s choice of an Island County Fair t-shirt or hat
